Le Spa Royal Festival

The Royal Festival has been reflecting the diversity and quality of Belgian French-language theatre for 65 years. Created by the prestigious Théâtre National de Bruxelles in 1959, it has reinvented itself over the years and adapted to changes in the cultural landscape.

Every summer, it brings together a selection of the best shows from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. These shows are programmed alongside internationally renowned foreign companies (Canada, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Sweden, France, etc.) as well as exclusive creations.

Since 2018, it has opened up to all the performing arts: circus, musical shows, new magic, object theatre, puppets, theatre for young audiences, stand-up, mentalism, visual shows, etc.

Intimately linked to the heritage of the town of Spa, which welcomes and supports it, the Royal Festival is fortunate to present its activities in venues that are, for the most part, listed.
